Every summer, around midsummer time, Swedes head to their summer houses for a month or more of just pure vacation with family and friends. I've decided to do the same this year and so my little man "O" and I have headed to Gotland where we will visit family, stay at a horse farm called Avonlea, visit all of our neighbors, especially our good friends "The Svangrens", go to viking camp, and just live the island life of Gotland.

We are needing a couple of days to adjust to the new time zone and be kissed and hugged profusely by our loving family. We'll be back in a very short bit to share our summer life with all of you. Until then be well.

Gotland looks magical! I loved seeing Kate’s pictures and hearing all about her experience. I have a feeling I’m going to love your recap, too.
A horse farm? Oh my goodness that’s my daughter’s only dream i life. Take plenty of horsey photos!
    Have fun!

Hi Amy, So good to see you over here on the Learnsweden blog. Gotland is completely magical. This is a fun journey because it’s the first time that Omar comes to Gotland. So he is going to put stories he’s been told with places.
Gotland is loaded with horses, little horses called Rus. I’ll take lots of photos for your daughter. Omar is taking riding lessons so we can go “galloping all around the island”. I think he might be confused between riding and being a cowboy. Be well dear friend.
